Frequently Asked Questions

How long is my child's class?

Typically the 2 1/2 - 3 year old class is 30 minutes and the 4-6 year old class is 40 minutes. In the younger age group, the format is directed toward hands on play and observation. In the older class, we are able to explore more in depth the science behind what we observe.

What is your payment policy?

At this time we only accept cash or checks. All checks should be made payable to The Little Science Lab. Payment is due by the first class meeting. There will be a $25 fee applied to any checks which are returned or received after the second week of class.

I missed the first class, can I still register?

We are happy to prorate the tuition to the number of classes remaining provided there are still spots open in your desired class.

Do you offer a sibling discount?

We do offer a sibling discount to those families who are registering more than one student. Please include this in the comment section of the registration form.

What if my child misses or is late for a class?

Classes do start on-time so please make arrangements to be there at the designated start time. If your child is absent or misses a class, please e-mail info@thelittlesciencelab.com to let us know. Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up classes at this time due to scheduling constraints within the school. If class is cancelled due to The Little Science Lab, a credit will be issued back that can be used toward future classes.

If my child does not attend one of the schools listed, how can they still participate?

Please feel free to contact us to let us know of other locations that may be of interest! Please include in the comments if we may use your name in our contact with the school. If your child is not in school, but there are a group of 10 students who would all like to participate (Ex. A Homeschool or meet-up group) we may open another class that is not based out of a school.

Can I hire one of the scientists for my child's birthday party?

Science makes a great birthday party! Birthday packages can be customized to meet your age group and number of guests. Please use our contact form to request a quote for your child's party!
